Harunobu Murata

While studying at Esmod Tokyo, received the Grand Prize at the Kobe Fashion Contest. After completing the Master's course at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, was awarded by the Italian Fashion Association's Next Generation program, leading to the debut of a collection in Milan in 2012. Following design roles at John Richmond and Jil Sander, launched the personal brand harunobumurata in 2018. Since 2022, has participated in Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo.

Yasuko Furuta

TOGA

Yasuko Furuta transferred from ESMOD Tokyo to ESMOD Paris. She launched TOGA in 1997. In 1999, the brand debuted its collection in an exhibition format and began participating in Paris Fashion Week in 2006. TOGA has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious ANDAM Award from the French National Association for the Development of the Fashion Arts in 2007 and the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prize in 2009, earning widespread acclaim both in Japan and internationally. Since 2014, TOGA has shifted its presentation venue from Paris to London.

Keisuke Nagami

HATRA

After transferring from ESMOD Tokyo to ESMOD Paris, Keisuke Nagami won the Grand Prix at the Festival de Dinard for Young Fashion Designers while still a student. In 2009, he graduated from the Master’s Course at ESMOD Paris, with his graduation collection gaining attention and leading to the launch of HATRA in 2010. In 2018, he received the JFLF AWARD, and in 2019, HATRA was selected for the Tokyo New Fashion Designer Award.

Kotoha Yokozawa

Graduated from ESMOD Tokyo and joined Uniqlo Co., Ltd. in 2013. Launched kotohayokozawa in 2015 and received the Newcomer Award at the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix in 2020. In 2022, unveiled a collaboration model with Converse.

Akira Hasegawa

Clothing Curator

Graduated from ESMOD Tokyo, receiving the Best Men's Collection Award for his graduation work. After working as a modelist at an apparel company, Akira Hasegawa became independent in 2016. He organized and led the traveling exhibition Semi-Deconstruction, showcasing work across Japan. Centered on the concept of 'Passing on the emotions of 100 years ago to 100 years from now,' he deconstructs garments from the French Revolution to around World War II, creating detailed clothing specimens.

Sanae Yokohata

nae.ATELIER

After graduating from International Christian University, Sanae Yokohata enrolled at ESMOD Tokyo. After graduating in 2008, she worked as a designer at the multinational company UNIQLO before founding her own brand, nae.ATELIER, in 2011.

Shiro Araki

Costume Designer

Known for creating organic forms through the fusion of various materials, both artificial and natural, this distinctive approach to creation has led to the design of costumes for notable figures such as Lady Gaga, Misia, Kou Shibasaki, Masataka Kubota, and for the collaboration between Millennium Parade x Belle (Kaho Nakamura).

Seiko Yukiura

After graduating from the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Engineering, joined TOTO Ltd. In 2005, she left TOTO Ltd. to enroll at ESMOD Tokyo. Upon graduating in 2009, she established the brand "sneeuw."

Shunta Nakajima

Transferred from ESMOD Osaka to the Paris campus in his second year, graduating in 2003. Subsequently worked as an assistant designer for Raf Simons, based in Antwerp. After returning to Japan, joined Mister Hollywood. In 2015, launched the menswear brand ALMOSTBLACK with Masaki Kawase, centered on the concept of "Post-Japonism." Since 2020, has been holding exhibitions in Paris.

Satomi Ito

Costume Designer

While studying at ESMOD Tokyo, she won the Grand Prize at the Kobe Fashion Contest. Then, went to study abroad at Nottingham Trent University in the UK. After returning to Japan, she joined a dancewear company as a costume designer. In 2015, she became independent and began designing costumes for athletes, including figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu, as well as for gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics both in Japan and internationally.

Michiko Nakayama

MUVEIL

A graduate of ESMOD Tokyo, she launched her brand MUVEIL in the Spring/Summer 2007 season. The brand name combines the French word for lily of the valley, muguet, and the English word veil. In 2012, she expanded the brand with the casual line MUVEIL WORK. That same September, she opened the concept shop GALLERY MUVEIL in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.

Shinya Miyaura

Fashion Curator

After studying at ESMOD Tokyo, he went to the UK. From 2012, he began visiting textile production areas across Japan. In 2013, he opened the community space "Secori-Sou" in Tsukishima, Tokyo. In 2016, he became a Special Guest Professor at Nagoya University of the Arts. Since the founding of his business, he has visited around 200 factories annually and has been promoting the charm of textile production areas through various media and spaces. He is currently developing various curation projects in the private sector.

Artist

Graduated from ESMOD Osaka (Specialized in Menswear). He is a fashion designer and artist. Viewing clothing as a media and communication tool, he creates works that use fashion items as their support structure.
