Handling of Personal Information

In accordance with the "Personal Information Protection Law,"
ESMOD considers the protection of personal information entrusted to us as an important matter, and manages and operates its business based on the following policy.

1. The definition of Personal Information

This policy defines the following as personal Information. Personal information is defined as information that can be used to identify an individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, e-mail address, educational background, or other description, or by a number, symbol, or other code assigned to the individual. The term also includes information that cannot be used to identify an individual by itself, but can be used to easily identify the individual by cross-checking with other information.

2. Collection, use and provision of personal information

Personal information collected will be used for the following purposes and will not be used beyond the scope of such purposes without the consent of the user. Regarding enrollment information, event-related information, and post-admission information, ESMOD will not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the user, nor will we use or provide personal information outside of the scope of the stated purpose of use. However, information may be disclosed without the user's consent in the following cases: [1] when required by law, [2] when legally required to protect the life, health, property, or other important interests of the user or a third party.

3. Correction, addition, or deletion of personal information

You may request to see, correct, add, or delete information that you have already registered by contacting us at the address below. Please note that we may ask you to confirm your identity when making such a correction.

4. Outsourced management of personal information

We may outsource the processing of personal information to outside companies, such as data centers that operate and manage servers, software development companies that build and maintain databases, and direct mail delivery agents. When outsourcing, we will select outsourcing companies based on the condition that they have secured a sufficient level of personal information protection, and will manage and ensure that the outsourcing company handles personal information appropriately after signing a nondisclosure agreement.

5. SSL

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology has been introduced to the pages where personal information is input so that users can input their personal information with peace of mind. SSL encrypts the data entered by the user's computer and then transmits it to the registrant's computer over the network. *SSL is a technology that prevents data theft and tampering by third parties by encrypting and authenticating communications between the browser and the WWW server.

6. Access Logs

When a user accesses the ESMOD website, access information is stored on the web server as an access log. The access log contains information such as the domain name and IP address of the accessing user, the type of browser being used, and the date and time of access, but it does not contain information that can identify individuals.
