With over 180 years of history, ESMOD offers a unique curriculum based on the world-leading curriculum of its Paris campus, the 'capital of fashion.' It combines Japan's world-class textile and pattern-making techniques. All students acquire fashion design and pattern-making skills, mastering the creative process from concept to production. Upon graduation, they are trained to be industry-ready professionals.
We offer a comprehensive course, an English course where all classes are taught in English, a third-year study abroad course at the Paris campus, an intensive course for experienced students, and Saturday and evening courses for intensive fashion study while working. We also offer the CNAM course, a short-term course that allows students to earn an International Bachelor's degree from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) program.
This third-year comprehensive course combines cutting-edge design with the world's highest level of pattern-making and sewing techniques. This is ESMOD's signature course, allowing students to start from scratch and immediately enter the creative profession upon graduation.
This course covers the same curriculum as the General Course, taught in English. In an era when English proficiency is increasingly required in Japanese companies, this course is aimed at students aspiring to work in global business and international students.
Students study the same curriculum as the General Course at our Tokyo campus in their first and second years, then study abroad at our Paris campus in their third year. A two-year French course is also available in preparation for studying abroad. This course is ideal for students hoping to build a career with a European luxury brand.
This high-level course is aimed at students with fashion experience, mastering the General Course curriculum over two years. While prerequisites include basic knowledge and skills, students learn at a fast pace to quickly transition into the business world.
This is the only course in Japan where you can study innovation management in the fashion industry and earn a bachelor's degree awarded by the French Ministry of Higher Education. Completion of this course can lead to a master's degree from a European university.
This course allows students with or without fashion experience to study fashion in earnest over the weekend. Many students are working adults and housewives, making this a highly motivated course.
This course offers the same curriculum as the Saturday course, but on weekday evenings. The majority of students are working adults.
