Artist

Graduated from ESMOD Osaka (Specialized in Menswear). He is a fashion designer and artist. Viewing clothing as a media and communication tool, he creates works that use fashion items as their support structure.

The significance of what I learned at ESMOD

I may not fully understand it yet, but I believe the value will become clearer with more experience. Compared to other schools, I think the sewing level at ESMOD is relatively high. I personally enjoyed sewing more than sketching designs, so learning sewing techniques was a lot of fun for me.

Experiencing Student Life at ESMOD

Recently, when I participated in the graduation jury, I was reminded of my student days and felt a bit saddened. I had grand ideas and things I wanted to express, but without the technical skills, I couldn’t bring those ideas to life or communicate them to others, and the gap between my aspirations and my abilities was difficult. I wish I had learned more about communication skills and how to organize ideas during my student years.

A Message to Aspiring Fashion Designers

Saving money is important. It’s good to save up until you find something you truly want to do.
