What truly sets Esmod Tokyo apart from other fashion schools is our exceptionally high job placement rate for professional roles like designers and patternmakers. If you're aiming for a sales position, other schools may be an option—but if your goal is a professional career in fashion, Esmod Tokyo is the place for you!
02Compared to major fashion schools, Esmod Tokyo has a lot less students—it is just a fraction in size. So how is it that our students consistently win top prizes in fashion competitions? The answer lies in the exceptional technical skills we cultivate. Our results speak for themselves.
Esmod Tokyo sets the highest standards in the industry when it comes to advancement and graduation. That’s why every class and practical training session is taken seriously. From the number of class hours and assignments to the quality of the graduation collections, no other school comes close.
At the core of the Esmod Method is the belief that every student must study both Creative Design and Technical Design (Patternmaking). True creative expression—work that captivates—can only emerge when original ideas and the technical skills to realize them coexist within a single individual. This conviction is what sets Esmod apart.
02We believe that creation is about nurturing and allowing each student’s unique personality and potential to bloom in its own direction. Any Esmod Tokyo student knows that the distance between teachers and students is close.
03Esmod Tokyo is a melting pot of students from diverse backgrounds. While the majority are Japanese, over 20% are international students. The age range of our new students is also quite broad, including high school graduates, junior college graduates, university graduates, and working adults with professional experience. Language, culture, generations, and a passion for fashion—this diversity is the very source of our creativity.
At Esmod Tokyo, our dedicated teachers lead small-group classes that ensure personalized instruction. The curriculum integrates the cutting-edge sensibilities of Parisian design with Japan’s world-class skills in patternmaking and sewing. It also covers key areas such as textiles, digital technology, and AI—everything needed to become a skilled and versatile fashion professional.
